Would you cook a new and elaborate dish without a recipe?
Would you travel to a new country without a guide, map, and any kind of a plan and iteniary?
Would you start a new venture without finding out some information first?
I’m guessing you answered no to the above questions, but let me ask you this: Do you go shopping without any pre-planning?
Do you know everything that’s in your wardrobe and what you need to add to refresh it? Do you know how many tops to bottoms you have and what goes with what? Do you know how to incorporate new trends, so your look stays fresh and current?
Or do you go shopping with just a vague idea hoping that something will catch your eye…. Then, when you do buy “something” and bring it home only to realize:
- You already have 10 variations of that same thing, so the “new” thing does absolutely nothing in terms of adding anything significant to your style. Or
- The new thing is new indeed, but you have no idea what to pair it with (so it ends up hanging in your closet forever alone )
Truth is, if you want a style, a real style that others notice, you need to do something different.
“The woman who is chic is always a little different.”
Going shopping with a stylist is like traveling with GPS, if you will.
Stylist takes in conciderations your best colors, your figure proportions and your assets, your personal style type that’s based on your facial features (!), your work and lifestyle, and creates your individual style!
“Choose a wardrobe that reflects your lifestyle, your passions, and your dreams.” -D. Versace
After this kind of shopping, you will have clothes that truly express who you are. Wardrobe that works, full of complete looks, but also things that are interchangable, perfect for mixing and matching. (Compare that with a wardrobe stuffed with things, yet nothing to wear.)
Wouldn’t it be great to go from looking mediocre to iconic?
That’s a Stylist’s job, to create wow-moments in your life.
Because creating a “moment” isn’t only up to celebs on a red carpet. You can do it too!!
